Buying a GMCC Compressor: Model and Equipment Details to Check

Use a complete GMCC model, readable nameplate photos and an equipment record to prepare a clearer enquiry and check the offered item before ordering.

Buying a GMCC Compressor: Model and Equipment Details to Check

Catalog photograph: GMCC PH170X1C-8FTD3. This image identifies the catalog example; it does not establish specifications or stock.

Before buying a GMCC compressor, record the full model on the nameplate and the equipment it belongs to. A request such as “GMCC compressor for an air conditioner” identifies a brand and a broad use, but leaves the actual item unresolved. A clear model record allows the buyer, supplier and equipment technician to discuss the same unit.

For a first enquiry, send the complete model, nameplate photo, required quantity and destination. For final selection, also collect the application and equipment documents needed to confirm suitability.

Start with the complete model, not a short size description

The Archean catalog includes GMCC PH170X1C-8FTD3, PH215X2C-8FTC, PH330X2C-8FTC1 and PH460X3CS-4MU1. These are distinct written identifiers taken from the supplied product records.

Use the full identifier, including the characters after the hyphen, in your request. Do not shorten PH330X2C-8FTC1 to “PH330,” or let a folder name or informal horsepower label replace the nameplate text. These examples are catalog references, not a table of cooling capacities or interchangeable models.

If you cannot read a character, attach a second photo and flag the uncertainty. This is more useful than copying the missing letters from a similar-looking product online.

Check which documentation applies

GMCC’s official product directory covers several compressor categories and applications, while its brand information describes both fixed-speed and variable-frequency products. The broad GMCC name alone is therefore not enough to select a document for a particular unit. GMCC product directory and GMCC brand information.

Its official download center lists separate compressor manuals. When requesting a specification sheet, ask the supplier to identify the exact model, document revision and applicable page. A general brochure can help with research, but it should not fill gaps in an individual model’s confirmed specifications.

Keep an equipment record alongside the compressor record

For a replacement request, prepare a small folder containing:

  1. A readable photograph of the compressor nameplate.
  2. The full equipment model and its label photograph.
  3. Available equipment service documents or an original parts reference.
  4. A note stating whether the request is for the same model or a proposed alternative.
  5. The questions your equipment technician still needs answered.

Ask the technician to confirm the electrical, refrigerant and control requirements against the applicable documentation. This checklist does not establish those values for the catalog examples above.

For a new equipment project, describe the application and provide the selection requirements from the responsible engineer. A complete old-unit photo set is useful for identification, but it does not replace the design information for a new application.

Use one line per model when asking for several items

If you are buying different GMCC models for stock replenishment or several service jobs, send one row per full model. Put the quantity beside that model, and label each photo with the corresponding row number. Keep uncertain items in separate rows so that a confirmed item is not confused with an alternative still under review.

A useful request format is: “Model: PH215X2C-8FTC. Quantity: [number]. Destination: [city/country]. Purpose: [same-model replacement/new project]. Nameplate: attached. Please confirm the offered model, available technical documents, availability and delivery terms.”

Ask for the quotation to repeat each full model. Before ordering, resolve any change to its text and agree the supply scope, payment and shipping details in writing.

Common purchasing questions

Is a horsepower description enough for an order?

Treat it as additional context. Use the complete compressor model and documented application requirements to identify what is being requested.

Can the housing shape identify the model?

Use the readable nameplate to establish the identifier. An overview photo helps document the unit, but it does not establish electrical ratings, performance or replacement suitability.

Does a product page confirm stock?

No. Request current availability, dispatch timing and the exact offered version as part of the quotation.

Send your GMCC model and nameplate to Archean to start an enquiry, or browse the compressor catalog for a matching record. Include quantity and destination so the technical identification and commercial questions can be reviewed together.
